Culinary Tours: Sweet Zurich Tours to Discover Zurich’s Very Best Sweets

Sweet Zurich | Zurich | Switzerland

« Sweet Zurich - Unique Tours to Zurich’s Hidden Sweet Spots »

« Sweet Zurich »’s culinary tours aim to show you the hidden sweet spots of Zurich, Switzerland’s chocolate capital.

As we have a sweet tooth and like the New York food and travel writer’s award-winning food and travel blog « MyKugelhopf », we have met Kerrin Rousset to find out more about her new venture « Sweet Zurich ».

Kerrin summarizes her mission at « Sweet Zurich » as « an original, fun and delicious way to visit Switzerland’s most happening city, and learn that it’s not all about milk chocolate in the Alps ».

« Sweet Zurich » tours aim at tourists, expats and Swiss alike as you will visit locations that usually aren't in the guidebooks but that should not be missed.

We particularly like her approach to show you the unique finds beyond the world famous chocolate makers. Of course, she will tell you about them and point them out along the way. Yet her focus is more on the hidden places that are more difficult to discover. We won’t share her secrets, but one of her favorite places in Zurich is chocolate concept store « TRUFFE » that we feature, too.

Her tours are all about the personal touch. Thus, you will really get a chance to meet the people behind the businesses you visit. This allows you to discuss all that you ever wanted to know about the art of chocolate making, baking, or whatever might interest you. It is all about you, your interests, the personal touch and unique sweet discoveries. And after all, a special treat will be waiting for you at each address, so you should bring your sweet tooth, too.

One of Kerrin’s best moments as a « Sweet Zurich » tour guide so far has been when some expat lady took one of her tours shortly before moving back and to see the latter’s amazement about the sweet discoveries she made after living in Zurich for five years. So you see, Kerrin has something for everyone – even if you think you already know all the places!

But more importantly, Kerrin is great fun. Her focus on the personal touch combined with her passion and experience as a food writer make her tours so special.

Sounds great? Tours stay small (2-6 people) and you can even ask for private and/or customized tours. Demand is quickly picking up, so you should give it a try, if you are into all things sweet.

But go and see for yourself. Enjoy!

NB: Kerrin recently added « Sweet Geneva » tours!
